Homesickness, one of the pieces from my thesis is about preservation. Homesickness is metaphorically expressed through condiments landscape painting. Here, condiments are imagined as buildings in Hong Kong.I am constantly inspired by Hong Kong culture where people there use varieties of condiments to enrich the flavour of dishes. After moving into Canada, I can only get a taste of home by adding these preserved condiments into my dishes.
