07 The Truth is Out There but You Refuse to Look. Ugh!

The body of this lamp is a hand-shaped, hollow MDF box. Layers of spray paint and varnish create a professional, lacqueur-like finish, with expandable foam details.The form of the lampshade was created by hand carving a block of blue foam, moulding the foam, and slush casting a hollow, resin replica.Both the shade holder, as well as the switch/dimmer are custom made in sterling silver with a high polish finish.The bottom panel of the box is removable by unscrewing it from the body, making the circuit accessible to the user should they need it (not pictured here).Photo credit: Aleena Derohanian
