In Absence is a handmade photobook composed of images that capture subtle and often overlooked moments from everyday life. Shot primarily on film, the work continues my ongoing attention to quiet details and the emotional atmosphere within ordinary surroundings. Through the use of text and sequencing, the book constructs a sense of space, rhythm, and pause. The pacing of images and words allows moments of stillness and emptiness to emerge, inviting the viewer into a more contemplative mode of looking. The work reflects my personal experience of moving through different stages of nihilism. Rather than presenting a fixed narrative, it traces a series of emotional shifts, including uncertainty, detachment, and gradual acceptance. Within these fragments, absence becomes not only a condition but also a space where perception and meaning can quietly unfold.
