One of two self-portraits on paper, this painting explores feelings of disembodiment and fragmentation in the context of my identity and cultural upbringing. These feelings are at the heart of my journey to reclaim my identity as a South Asian woman living in Canada. They influence not only who I am today, but also who I want to be.
