๐๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฆ ๐ด๐ธ๐ฆ๐ฆ๐ต ๐ฉ(๐๐ฎ)๐ฆ is a project from the season of fall, that employs a method of Suminagashi. With an aim to learn about Self through exploring inner silent vibration, I recorded my vibration visuallly.
โI began experimenting with Suminagashi โ Japanese marbling technique, in search of silent vibration as my essence being. The sub-project ๐๐บ ๐๐ป โย ๐๐ฉ๐ข๐ต ๐ข ๐๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฑ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ญ๐ช๐ด๐ด employs a crystal singing bowl containing water and Japanese Sumi ink. The singing bowl often used in mindfulness and meditation classes, the primordial vibration frequency produced by a singing bowl is known to soothe our nervous system. The bowl is hit and the increased vibration is transmitted through the surface of the water. The darkness of ink against white allows me to see that vibration enters my perception visually. The work becomes a visual interface, a record of this brief fluid momentum between nothingness and โbecoming,โ โ showing my place in the universe as a cosmic map. โ
