Self-Portrait (Jane Fonda)

Painting

Self-Portrait (Jane Fonda) is a painting made up of 12 reproductions of an image of Jane Fonda reclining by the poolside; with each iteration, every iteration but the previous was covered up, causing the reproductions to naturally distort from the source image over time. Paired with a cropped self portrait of my eyes, the work is a reflection of my biases in seeing.
