CYPHON - Movie Title Sequence

Animation
2019
This was a project for my animation class. We were challenged to write a movie synopsis about a "virus" and animate a title sequence for it. I choose a computer virus that attacks the online financial system. Title sequences are always something that catch my eye. I love movies and TV, and title sequences are incredibly open to creative ideas. As long as they say something about the coming film, almost any type of live-action or animation can be used. Graphic designers have made some amazing contributions, such as Saul Bass's work on "The Man With The Golden Arm" and many other films or the famous opening titles in "Se7en" from Kyle Cooper.

“In our increasingly digital, connected world, financial deals have gone electronic. A new kind of criminal has taken over bank robberies. They’ve traded out guns for laptops, and the rewards are immense. Their new virus allows them to manipulate the stock market to generate massive gains. As their dealings begin to come to light, panic spreads through the world. The trust holding together the market is shattered and people rush to cash out their accounts. As the entire financial system teeters on the brink, so too does society. ”
