In Table Etiquette, the focus shifts to a more structured setting for hosting extended family. Unlike Game Face, this painting emphasizes arrangement and expectation. The placement of dishes, utensils, and tableware creates a sense of order that reflects how behaviour is guided within these situations. The setting can be understood as performative, as the act of hosting involves an awareness of the act of presenting. The title Table Etiquette reinforces this, pointing to systems that shape how individuals engage within these environments. Western tableware appears alongside Cantonese elements, not as a contrast, but as part of the same space.Original works are not available for purchase. Limited edition prints are available upon request.
