This interactive installation invites viewers to "kayak" through a reimagined river scene of lilies and wildlife, using a playful, hands-on experience to reveal an unexpected secret hidden within the natural beauty.
“The natural tranquility of the river lilies is a site of an absurd encounter. Susan playfully invites you to experience the calming joy of ‘kayaking’ slowly through a the Ausable River’s water lilies. Don the life jacket and gently paddle your way beside the lily pads. Did you spot the basking turtle and the heron while you were kayaking? Search for the fish below, in the clear, natural spring river, and check out the snake like water lily stems. A closer look at the lilies reveals a surprise, they are floating human molar teeth, not flowers! ”
