Tawaf طواف - circumambulation - the act of moving around a sacred object or idol. Practiced in many religions across cultures and regions.
“Humankind’s relationship to our planet has been increasingly parasitic, causing our earth’s rapid decay. We must unite in ways that are not foreign to our kind, to reconcile our relationship with the land. Using a post industrial remnant, I am proposing a spiritual journey for both the land and its pilgrim. How can the movement through one of earth’s scars re-establish reverence and sacredness for the land?”
