'fractured dust; do islands fall or fly?' reflects on the impermanence through the skin of layered acrylic and transparent film.

“Navigating the movement of drifting, reassembling and flight, this work interrogates plurality in the corporeal form. Using layered transparencies and fragmented figures, the work captures a moment of suspension between disintegration and reformation. Distorted and scattered, the body translates as both falling and flying; floating debris, like dust and stardust; caught in shifting light. In this piece, I invite viewers to confront the fragility of what we hold onto, and the quietness of what feels in-between.”

“Motivated by movement and relationalities between humans, beyond-humans, and homeland, my practice investigates ideas of kinesthetic in-betweenness through the topography of the body.”
