“Designed and developed entirely by me, this Unreal Engine project showcases my expertise in game design, mechanics, level creation, and cinematic storytelling. This third-person shooter features a full movement system, including running, crouching, climbing, and fluid traversal. Players engage in combat with AI enemies that react dynamically, drop ammo, and contribute to a challenging yet rewarding gameplay loop. The game also includes two fully developed cutscenes—a cinematic sequence and an interactive gameplay moment—both of which required iteration on animation, camera work, and scene composition to enhance narrative immersion.Set in a post-apocalyptic world turned into a massive junkyard, the game features five distinct locations, each crafted using curated and retextured Unreal Engine assets to achieve a cohesive, immersive look. The development process began with a written concept document and a 2D world map, followed by a blocked-out level design in Unreal Engine to refine gameplay flow. As the project evolved, I implemented mechanics, developed two cutscenes, and polished the environment with lighting, assets, and materials to enhance the game’s atmosphere.With a strong focus on gameplay depth and immersion, this project integrates third-person combat, AI enemy interactions, dynamic ammo drops, player-controlled traversal, and environmental storytelling. From movement and combat mechanics to level design and cinematics, every aspect of this game was built from the ground up as a solo project, showcasing my ability to develop a fully functional and engaging third-person shooter.”
