Sublimation print on fleece, polyester stuffing, leather

Printed fleece sculpture bearing images of a crushed cicada and internal surgical view of artist's uterus, with molded leather detailing
““Imago Dei” represents the temporality, pain, and beauty of existing within a shifting physical form. Stitching together a crushed insect, and an intimate internal bodily view, the images inflate into a strangely new and reverent object. The term “imago” describes an insect in its final form of development, while “imago dei” describes the image of god. This sculpture presents the broken intricacies of an insect and a human body as a reimagined constitution of exquisitely grotesque holiness. ”
