Continuity of Knowledge

"Contiunity of Knowledge" is the full circle culmination of each of the pieces within the "Mind-Sets" series. This work takes into account the crucial role that coaches and mentors play within sport and everyday life, specifically pertaining to the passing on of knowledge and lessons learned to the next generation. Not only does this act help to progress and expand the understanding of a specific skill or set of skills, as well as build a more solid foundation upon which they can continue to flourish, it also is imperative to the individual who is passing on the knowledge. It is the process of teaching, and teaching well, which solidifies the knowledge within ones self, and the true success of a skill is not only measured by the ability to accomplish a specific task, but also the means in which that individual is able to successfully pass on their teaching to the next generation with success being measured secondly by how well their pupils have been able to absorb, reflect and improve upon the teachings of those who came before them. With that in mind this image takes a piece of every other image within the series and cases it into an orb like offering as if to be passed onto the next in line.
