THE HOOD, THE HOUND, & THE HUNTER

Three full-body character + accompanying prop designs.

“These characters and narrative are loosely inspired by the fairy tale, Red Riding Hood. Based off the original fairy tale, the Hood (Little Red Riding Hood), the Hound (Wolf), and the Hunter (Huntsman) band together to hint down a now-evil Grandma. Each character has a unique backstory, skills, and individual values on the grim world around them. All written and designed by me. Texture call-outs provided to pass on to a 3D-modelling team. Aligning with the dark tone of the original Brothers Grimm story, the setting involves a rapidly-evolving plague that haunts a fantasy-steampunk inspired land. The only vaccine for this plague is through blood transfusions of young people's more resistant blood. This leads to a horrifying economy where blood is in high demand to the wealthy. Under this new economy, children are amputated and their limbs are sold for lump sums of money before being replaced by prosthetics.”
