This project was developed in collaboration with Eve Feng.
“"Harmonic Resonance" is the philosophy of the hotel, where the architecture releases the essence of music deeply embedded in the historical soil. It was originally a space filled with musical ambiance, but over time, the sounds gradually faded away. Now, our task is to make the building resound with musical melodies once again, allowing tunes from decades ago to resonate through layers of history and concrete anew. Based on this overarching theme, we also hope that guests, as they move through different spaces, will experience varied musical atmospheres, composing a unique symphony of their own in relation to the architecture. In the process of resonating with these historical sounds, we are committed to protecting and promoting the cultural heritage of this historic building as a tribute to past artists and musicians, and to allow the past and present to coexist harmoniously. Furthermore, spaces select appropriate tunes based on their function, and adapt using elements such as lighting and materials. It connects with the surrounding architecture, becoming a nexus of music, culture, life, and innovation, where people feel everything in resonance.”
