(4) Painting - Coconut Dreaming

During the pandemic, the one thing my child misses the most is traveling, especially to a tropical destination. When he was at my sister’s house, he was given a coconut to drink from and after he took his first sip, he expressed the utmost satisfaction which made him feel like he was transported to the Caribbean. I want to capture that feeling of happiness and pure joy he had simply by tasting something. Food and taste can conjure up such real memories and it is this sensory experience that I want to evoke and I want the audience to feel as well.
