“The idea that your feet touch surfaces unconsciously everyday is fake. We can persuade you to think otherwise even if you aren’t aware. Where do you think you are even when you don’t know. Where do you think feet lay when they scatter across the pavement that allows you to walk without thinking about your feet moving up and down rhythmic and flowing. Does it take injury to notice? Does it take strain? Does it take grace? Falling on knees, scabs and bruises, sacrifice, does it take visibility from direct impact. The city makes the sidewalk a minimum of 4 feet wide, enough space for two to walk comfortably next to each other. What walks beside you when you walk alone? What type of gaze is occupied on the movement you follow. The surface of a sidewalk is only as dirty as you make it, only as clean as you wish it. Meant for ease, meant for comfort in your spaciousness. The mapping out of sidewalks could be akin to the pattern of a labyrinth. Following and trusting, eyes open or closed, there is a path to follow.Stepping out on any pathway that is public exposes you to a metaphysical plane of surveillent touch. This can be felt in many spiritual ways and the act of prayer simplifies forms of action.
