Prison Turned Hotel

Illustration
2026
Located in Istanbul, Turkey, the Four Seasons Hotel was once a prison in the heart of the city. Originally designed as a guest house, the elegant French-style building was quickly repurposed and used as a prison for a decade. Today, the space functions as a hotel, where guests stay in rooms that people were once forced to occupy. This Illustration is plays with the duality of the space, with prisoners reimagined as hotel staff, serving guests while also trying to escape.
