Using Sherry Turkle's work, "Evocative Objects: Things We Think With", I have been exploring the objects in my life that exhibit an uncanny quality by being pre-evocative. These pre-evocative objects are things that at this moment in time do not have distinct meaning or memory tied to them, but have the potential to become things that represent loss, heartbreak, mourning, or change at some point in the future. The plastic wraps of these objects become a means to preserve them in their liminal, pre-evocative state, as a ghost of what will be.
