Recliner considers the history of reclining nudes by substituting the classically alluring sexualized body with a digitally synthesized figure denoting ideas of digitality, sensuality and the bodies place outside of the tangible. The work further references copper as a luxurious material that exists in the painting timeline to adorn bodies. By rendering the digitally synthesized material in lieu of flesh, the body becomes synthetic, algorithmic, and sequenced considering the figure as an entity present in cyberspace.
