Le chemin de la vie explores the idea of life as a continuous and transformative journey. Through the fragmented horse figure and the surrounding landscape, the work reflects moments of transition, rupture, and persistence within the passage of time.

“In this body of work, I wanted to explore the concept of life as a continuous journey. The horse is a form I've been revisiting and developing lately. I see horses as a representation of a body's existence across time. With this work in particular, I wanted to use fragmentation to show moments of pause, transition, and exposure within that movement. The cut tree stumps and the stillness capture what's been left behind. They show a life just as occupied with gaps and losses that demand transition and adaptation.Rather than capturing one single moment in time, I played with ideas of movement vs. stillness- how life moves forward through broken moments. I wanted to meditate on how life builds up; how we are molded by our experiences and how they stay with us in the journey.Similar to the Memory Series, this artwork explores themes of enduring traces.”
