Conté on Photograph on Paper

Photography is an integral part of my artistic practice, serving as a point of reference or a preliminary step. In this work, I blur the boundary between drawing, photography, and print, creating subtle tension and intriguing harmony. I involve a form of blurring with various approaches—from analogue to digital—to imply the sense of ambiguous, transient, and unsettled aspects of reality. Breaking the boundary between the reflection and real space as undistinguishable as possible by blurring, reconstructing, and upending the space, I doubt the certainty of binary oppositions. Ultimately, nothing could be ruled out as certain and static. Everything in the universe is indifferent and interconnected—so is the dream and reality or life and death. Nothing can be eternal, including human life. Perhaps, life is but an ephemeral dream.
