Fartland.net is an interactive web space where inhabitants and wanderers may drop media objects for others to discover. It is a playful response to the ubiquitous scrolling social media feed, and spatially recreates our encounters with video, sound, image, and text objects, as well as the digital presence of others.

“This work was created during a slow reflection process of examining my own relationship with media consumption and digitally facilitated social relationships and spaces. While grappling with the ways the profit-driven dopamine-maxxing social media environments I've become entangled in have changed me (in ways that are positive, negative, and everything in between), I opted to try and create a virtual space that felt soft and slow, where encounters with others took place under different parameters. Maybe my favourite part of spending time in Fartland is the sound of my "footsteps". ”
