Courage - Tiara
Jewellery
2023
The tiara is made of sterling silver and consists of a frame surmounted by five line engraving swords and six feathers. The design of the tiara is also inspired by the character, Diana Prince, in the movie Wonder Women. The movie conveys the themes of strength, fairness, and compassion through the main character, and elevates its concept as a symbol of women empowerment.
“By expanding the word-courage, I think that swords and feathers can be an ideal combination for the courage theme tiara. Women do not have to be brave, but when we are facing threats and fairless people or society, we are ready all the time to fight for it and protect the younger generation behind us. The idea of feathers is derived from angle wings because the wings symbolize faith, courage and protection. The swords are simply sharp at the top and have texture with line engraving. Instead of highly polishing the swords’ surface, I would prefer the shimmer created by line engraving. As I think the swords, which are also defined as brave, are the women's rights achievements that have a low key brightness continuing to shine for a long time. The rough surface as if the roads and struggles they have been through, and the effects and the values brighten the roads for the next generation. The feathers with fluid movements suggest an empathetic mind of women, and the strong determination of protection and courage as wind. ”
