404 is a mixed media sculptural installation, focused on drawing parallels to the human body and technology. Through sustainable practices, we’ve assembled an installation through found materials and e-waste to create a representational amalgamate of the inextricable relationship between man and machine. The installation also incorporates animated collage and 2D and 3D animations projected onto selected surfaces of the sculpture. These visuals bridge the gap between machine and man, depicting parts of the human body brought to life. ‘Primitive’ tech such as CRT monitors are also incorporated to demonstrate the unsustainable nature of newer technology and use them as a vessel of sorts for vital organs. We aim to to prove that tech will not overtake humanity but it will die with us, as we allow it to exist just as much as it allows us to progress.
