Value PropositionMAI is a smart fitness platform that blends physical interaction, embedded technology, and responsive feedback to improve bodyweight training. It combines a sensor-embedded mat with a stability-focused training device to deliver real-time guidance, rep tracking, and posture correction, without screens or wearables.The system uses LED lighting, tactile feedback, and subtle analog cues to help users learn proper form, strengthen core engagement, and reduce injury risk. Designed to be intuitive and adaptive, MAI makes self-guided training more effective and enjoyable for beginners and advanced users.InsightHome fitness is more accessible than ever, yet most tools fail to provide real-time feedback on posture, balance, or form. Beginners, in particular, struggle with proper hand positioning, core engagement, and body awareness, leading to strain, ineffective workouts, or injury. While apps and wearables offer tracking, they rarely interact directly with the body or the surface where training occurs. There's a critical need for equipment that guides movement as it happens, physically, not virtually.IdeaMAI reimagines two common fitness tools—the mat and the stability ball—as intelligent, responsive training instruments.The smart mat integrates sensors and timed LEDs to provide visual guidance for hand, foot, and knee placement, track reps through proximity detection, and celebrate progress with dynamic lighting animations. It acts as a coach embedded directly into the training surface.The stability device, shaped like a reimagined ball with ergonomic cutouts and a water-filled chamber, provides tactile, analog feedback that subtly shifts as the user moves. The motion of the internal water level nudges the user toward a more balanced, joint-safe position, naturally activating the core and improving alignment without interrupting the workout.Both tools are wirelessly connected for a purpose, unified in form, and designed to work together as a seamless training experience.ImpactMAI makes self-directed fitness smarter, safer, and more intuitive. It removes the need for external screens or mirrors by embedding feedback directly into the tools themselves. The system supports a wide range of users, from beginners learning foundational movement to experienced athletes refining their technique.By making posture correction and progress tracking feel physical, MAI encourages long-term engagement, reduces injury risk, and expands the possibilities of home training.
