Although I’ve always immersed myself into the arts and into being a creator, it honestly took me quite a long while to feel confident in calling myself an artist. I would dedicate countless hours continually painting, experimenting, learning, and growing, day and night, in my art practice and still wouldn’t feel like my paintings were enough to give me the allowance of the title. But then I started to reflect upon myself and recognized that my life revolves around being an artist—it’s a part of who I am. I’ve always been artistically inclined and embraced my talents, skills, and love for the arts. So here I am caught in the midst of my focus, being the artist that I am in my ‘zen den studio’ at God knows what time, painting away.

“Within this diptych of artistlife and selfcare, I explore the parts of myself that I have previously neglected and shed light on my newly found embrace of them. I cherish my desire to have a career within my art practice, without a care for the people who have once put doubts into my mind. I eagerly look forward to any time I can take to myself, and find moments of peace outside constant productivity.”
