This short film is a personal narrative point of view of my grandmother’s passing. A parallel comparison between the situation of my mom and I's reaction. The mood switches constantly from how she reacts numbly and patiently, compared to my fear of confronting my parents with heavy feelings. The plot line is linear, comparing sequences of how I cope, how my mom copes, and how we come together to cope. The takeaway from this piece is about having perseverance (Sabr), and how too much of this trait can make a person feel disconnected even from the people they are the closest to.
