“Karmic Retribution” is a piece that imagines the spirit of Shakti, the embodiment of supreme feminine energy, avenging female victims of honour killings, violence, and abuse.

“This illustration is a part of my Thesis series, May the Yakshi Rise Again! that contrasts South Asian women's issues with various feminist aspects of ancient South Asian culture. “Karmic Retribution” depicts Shakti, the primordial Divine Mother, avenging victims of honour killings, violence, and abuse.”
