In this painting, I represent a glorious picture of the way trees survive in comparison to the way a human puts forth their best image of themselves, repressing all the socially unacceptable traits and emotions. This is an image representing the ‘perfect’ qualities of trees, being shown in a way an individual might put forth a persona of their ‘perfect’ life, health, family. However, there is no such thing as perfect. The obsession concerning how you are viewed is one which throws off balance and makes one lose their sense of self.
