The viewers see a figure (male) enter a grandeur space and three figures welcome him. This architectural space gives us a sense of awe and "difference" or otherness. They witness welcome of the new comer as if he has returned.
“ This painting explores the RETURN-journey as induction of the soul to the Pantheon, where the ancestors are. Now the motif of sending becomes the theme of receiving or welcoming. I set the welcoming of the soul in the atmosphere similar to the Pantheon. Three persons have the head gears of women. They are the first humans, ANCESTORS. According to another mythology, at the very beginning there appeared Woman out of primordial music (see Painting 3). Soul “RETURNS” to his/her ancestors. I begin with a paper cut human figure of mine and I create the reference image through multiple exposure and photoshop, to show two groups of people (and thus two worlds).”
