Minecraft as a Design and Teaching Tool

Other
2021
Since it's creation in 2009, Minecraft has been a juggernaut in the gaming world. Being a sandbox game, Minecraft essentially lets the user create almost anything they want - and it has lead to Minecraft as a Design and Teaching Tool using the game as a way to teach design. This project uses the game as a teaching method, where players can learn about 7 principles of design (Contrast, proportion, negative space, emphasis, symmetry, repetition, and movement) in an interactive online space. This project will be hosted on a java Minecraft server from May 3rd, 2021 until May 31st, 2021. After the end date the map will be available for download as single player world. For those who do not own the game, a Youtube channel under the name "Minecraft Thesis" has been established with videos of demos, server tours, and even process work.SERVER IP: 51.161.56.25:25592
