777 Glow Up

Rebels de la Soul partners up with Unity Charity to host seasonal event "777 GLOWUP", in honour of the hip-hop dance drop-in program for more than a year now. The event featured as a headliner at the 2019 Unity Festival.

“Our intent behind hosting this event quarterly, is to honour each and every young artists in their respected art forms, by inviting them to work together, create bonds amongst the different scenes, and contribute to Hip-Hop’s global movement.The event consists of three categories: dance, emcee and beatbox. Our featured judges pick the top 8 competitors from each prelim category to create teams consisting of a dancer, beatboxer and mc. All chosen competitors are grouped in teams of 3 to battle for the 777GLOW UP title as well as a cash prize of $900!The “GlowUp” is the culminating point of the event when each of the 3 winners team up and get to battle our featured judges in an exhibition battle.”
