Beyond REpair
Environmental Design
2026
Beyond Repair explores how a permanent community hub where repair and reuse intersect through direct engagement with artists and makers can dismantle the stigma surrounding material reuse while embedding circular design practices into everyday life. By integrating hands-on learning, accessible repair resources, material experimentation spaces, and face-to-face engagement with artists and designers, the project reframes repair as a creative and generative act rather than a last resort. By providing a home base for community-led initiatives such as Repair Café Toronto, the building embeds circular design principles into daily life and supports a culture of collective care, skill-sharing, and sustainable material practices.
“I explore craft as a spatial practice, using material, texture, and process to shape environments that feel both intimate and lived-in. My work focuses on the quiet relationship between making, memory, and space.”
