“A common motif in my drawings as a child was the house. It symbolized the comfort and security seemingly provided by the structure itself. This unexamined belief was brought to question over and over and ultimately crumbled when it repeatedly failed to uphold its purpose: stability. This crude, sculptural depiction of a house executed in plastic and painted with acrylic signifies the loss of this childhood notion, but its expiration makes way for new interpretations of home. ”
