Competing with the Wind

Installation
2021
Acrylic, memory foam, plaster, rope, tracing paper, charcoal, clay, plant clippings
Transient installation merging together many explorations of form and structure.

“From foraged parts emerge shrines which build up bodies into their contortion, their intricate and interdependent relations. Their exchange becomes whole, imbedded with power, spun into gold, and used to tie together parts and pieces unwanted. Bound and twisting and blushing with colour, bodies remember, bodies heal, bodies assume new form, illuminating the importance of keeping vibrant, grounded, soft.”
