When the African Students Association from the University of Toronto approached me about having their logo redesigned, the association was searching for a logo which could change their outdated look and represent the ASA in a fun new way for years to come. The finalized logo makes use of the Pan-African colours of green, gold, and red. A silhouette of the continent alongside a lion are iconic representations of African identity. Exactly 54 stars were used to symbolize the 54 countries within current-day Africa.

“This logo celebrates the culture of the African students at U of T who voice their interests and concerns and promote diversity within the student body.”
