Large Structure 02

‘Large Structure 01’ and ‘Large Structure 02’ use drywall compounds as an element to accentuate the crosses of the grid which charts and organizes space for mark making in a systematic manner. The ‘arched’ forms created by the absent, and untouched raw canvas, are 12” x 12” circular forms that have been arranged and stacked in multiple varieties. The circular forms create a modularity, and succinct visual language unifying the work as different components which make up the sum of a singular project existing on multiple surfaces.
