“My artistic practice is deeply rooted in symbolism and draws inspiration from Solange Knowles' album "A Seat at the Table." Through my work, I aim to delve into the complex themes of identity and representation, paying homage to my diasporic lineage and fostering a connection to my Caribbean heritage. In creating my collection, it was of utmost importance for me to consider how viewers would engage with and interact within the space. Thus, I have conceptualized S.A.T.T, a modular seating furniture that not only provides comfort but also serves as a platform for communal activities, encouraging shared experiences and collective engagement.”
