“Over the past year, having the opportunity to work on a year-long thesis project has been an incredible and challenging journey. From the initial research phase to pitch development to final production, it has truly been a whirlwind. This process has taught me invaluable lessons about what it takes to be an artist and how to continue developing my own art practice.Under the guidance of Wrik Mead, my project, Loss of Self, pushed me beyond my comfort zone, challenged my assumptions, and helped me grow both personally and artistically. Through intense critiques and the constant process of reflecting on and refining my ideas, I came to understand what OCAD University is truly about—navigating the persistent feeling of not quite belonging, yet ultimately finding and building your own community within that space.”
