The Tea Chair is inspired by the traditional Chinese round-backed armchair, a form that embodies the essence of tea culture, where harmony with nature, mindfulness, and quiet connection. The chair’s form is shaped by the fluid gesture of pouring tea, with each curve designed to echo that motion and evoke softness and continuity. Crafted from cherry wood, the piece will deepen in colour over time, allowing it to absorb traces of memory and meaning. Designed specifically for moments of stillness, whether drinking tea, reading, or simply being, the Tea Chair offers a sense of gentle containment. Its low profile and tactile surfaces invite the body to slow down, fostering a quiet atmosphere of reflection and presence.
