A Decision

A Decision (2025) is a one-minute audiovisual work consisting of fragmented images and multi-tracked sound, designed for presentation in exhibition spaces or screening rooms.

“The theme of the work stems from an important topic: the fragmentation of information. Nowadays, digital media stimulate the human brain to constantly release dopamine, and their distractions prevent people from focusing for long periods of time, seriously affecting our attention span. Also, I’ve noticed that because of our inability to focus, the decisions we make may only be manipulated by the subconscious mind. Therefore, I’m exploring what kind of information people's brains present when they are no longer focused and how this information affects people. Through this work, I hope viewers can pay more attention to their subconscious minds and learn to control them so as to fight against the fragmented information in this digital age.”
