As compact condo living becomes more and more commonplace, approaches to designing living spaces that support the health and wellbeing of its users, as well as designing with a sense of place, are being explored.The concept of this project is to extend the nature surrounding the building into the interior living spaces of the home, creating a comfortable and grounding environment, ideal for both the creative lifestyle and wellbeing of the clients. The clients have a personal, nostalgic connection to site, and attention was made to local and ethically sourced materials, artwork, and native plant life to thoughtfully reflect the site's character.Key features of this project include a terrace with a garden and fitted seating, adjoining the main living space and bedroom; custom, built-in shelving and storage units throughout space; and a custom designed display table for the clients' personal collections.
