Painting
Oil painting of hands holding half of a blood orange that has been juiced.
“This painting continues my thesis of using citrus fruits to act as a metaphor for myself, in this painting specifically the blood orange represents my body and my existence in a corporeal form. The hands included in the image further stress the presence of the human body, and ground the scene in reality. Seeing the bodily nature of the orange directly contrasted with the hands implies a certain personification of the fruit.”
