The project also aims to expose students to sustainable design ideas, with a focus on designing each room to be sustainable, promoting low-carbon travel through the use of automatic lane ramps, and creating an environmental- themed art exhibition space. students are shown sustainable ideas in design. However, the use of net-zero buildings is particularly significant for future climate protection as these buildings have the potential to operate independently of the outside world and self-cycle, reducing their reliance on non- renewable energy sources.
“This project involves the renovation and innovation of a physical building located at 59 Adelaide St. in downtown Toronto. While preserving the original environment and history of the building, I aim to create a modern and innovative space that meets the needs of students and the community. The project will showcase circular space design and space planning, with twelve different divisions of circular spaces designed according to function. The circular design not only adds a unique aesthetic element, but also creates a sustainable community activity space for students. By emphasizing the circular design, the project aims to foster a sense of interconnectedness and community, while also prioritizing sustainability and functionality.”
