My grandmother, when she was newly married, lived in the region of the Wuyi Mountain Range, which is now a famous national park, and is known for its’ difficult terrain, covered with an ancient forest. It is also known for producing “Da hong pao”, an herb valued for its tea. During this time, she had also been suffering from gout for many years. One day, she entered the deep forest to gather some wild-grown spices for her cooking. As she started to collect these herbs close to a tree hole, a hornet’s nest was disturbed, and one quickly stung her on her finger. She knew that these stings could be life-threatening, and was afraid that she would die. She came home to rest, and after a long and deep sleep, she awoke the next day, to find that not only had her finger recovered from the hornet’s sting, but also that her gout had vanished. Surprised to be alive, she felt great wonder for the magic found in the great forest range. Having been healed
