A two-minute animation following two dots exploring who they are. Through playful transformations, they question identity, perspective, and the hidden importance of small things, driven entirely by *imagination*.

“imagine is an experimental animation that follows two characters as they question and explore their own identity. The film is structured around an ongoing dialogue between them, shifting across different identities and media forms to examine the fluid possibilities of self. The title imagine reflects both the characters’ repetitive actions and ultimately reveals who they are.The core concept of this project was strongly inspired by Sylvie Trouvé’s short film Orange (2009). I was drawn to her ability to reframe easily overlooked details through imagination, offering an alternative way of seeing the world. In response, I chose to work with multiple media--combining different visual approaches to create a richer and more layered perspective. As a collaborative project, the mixed-media structure also allowed each team member to contribute through their own strengths. In addition to the visual design, sound played an equally important role. This aspect was fully developed by team member Chloe Lee, including both composition and sound design.imagine is 3 minutes and 4 seconds long, combining digital animation, 3D modelling, stop-motion, and live-action footage. Frame-by-frame animation was created using Procreate and Procreate Dreams, and the final piece was assembled and post-produced in After Effects.”
