“XOXO” is a digital painting that captures the intimate and personal space of a bathroom, a place where one often reflects in solitude. The face in the mirror, marked with the affectionate ‘xoxo’ and a heart, speaks to the private moments of self-care and love. My morning and night rituals are some of the only rituals I have been able to stick to, since it brings me to a calm state of mind and allows me to relax from the chaos of the everyday. This work invites viewers to take a minute and consider the small, everyday rituals that contribute to our sense of self and well-being.
