Cycles of Death

Distorted Self Portrait: A digital artwork or a drawing where my face is fragmented or blurred represents identity disruption caused by altering the past and potentially erasing their existence. I want to use a photograph of myself and digitally distort it, making it look like there has been a rift in time that has been growing for a long time, and it’s trying to right the wrongs against it.

“I was inspired by the Paradox itself (The Grandfather Paradox) because I thought it was really interesting that when you go back in time and kill a grandparent, you end up dying yourself, but once you are dead, your grandparent is fine, and the cycle starts all over again. It was interesting to me that you just keep repeating this endless cycle of death, and over time, your mind starts to go insane from not only killing your grandparents but also the fact that you keep coming back to life just to start the same cycle over again. ”
